One Way Mission at Stanford University

The One Way Mission: The Doolittle Raid and the Chinese Rescue book launch celebration reached a special final stop at Stanford University.

Hosted at the Hoover Institution, the event gave guests an opportunity to hear directly from the student authors about the research and work behind the book. The students shared what they discovered while exploring this important chapter of history and why preserving these stories continues to matter.

The presentation also gave the audience a chance to learn more about the people and events connected to the Doolittle Raid and the Chinese civilians who helped American airmen during World War II. It was meaningful to see students take the lead in sharing this history with the community.

After the presentation, guests joined a guided walking tour of the Stanford University campus. The tour provided time for everyone to continue conversations, ask questions, and celebrate the students' accomplishments together.

This Stanford event brought the three-day book launch celebration to a close after stops at the USS Hornet Museum and in San Francisco Chinatown.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, supported the project, and encouraged our student authors throughout this journey. We are proud of their dedication and grateful to everyone who helped make the One Way Mission book launch celebration possible.

Thank you for helping us celebrate their work and the importance of keeping history alive for future generations.
