Sunnyvale vs. Mountain View, CA — Financial Comparison
Data drawn from each city's audited Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports (ACFRs), CalPERS actuarial valuations, and adopted budgets, fiscal years 2012–26 (July–June). FY2026 (ending June 2026) has no audited report yet; those points are budget estimates, shown dashed. Hover any chart for exact values. Shaded bands mark the shared COVID-era shock (dip → rebound); dashed vertical flags mark one-time, city-specific events (a bond issuance, a one-year pension valuation spike).
