Public Art Mentors
Aick Huang
Aick Huang is a Bay Area-based artist. He studied Art at UC Santa Barbara and is now pursuing a Master’s in Illustration at SCAD. He has trained with renowned artists and enjoys sharing his art with the community.
Chris Held
Chris Held is a multidisciplinary designer, blending visual design, UX process, and coding experience. He enjoys helping users reach their goals by designing and iterating based on research, data, and user feedback to contribute towards profitable growth for any organization.

Emily Deng
Emily is a junior at Archbishop Mitty High School who aspires to major in UI/UX design or game design. In her free time, she enjoys taking care of her plants while watching shows.
Olivia Xia
Olivia is a freshman at Basis Independent Silicon Valley and she enjoys painting and drawing. She wants to use art to create impact and change in her community.
Jayden Liu
Jayden is a current 9th grader at Basis Independent Silicon Valley. His interests are swimming, painting, and drawing. He believes that art can spread motivation for change in communal issues while also beautifying the Bay Area in the process.

OUR IDEAS
- Our projects will most likely be about wildlife awareness or water 
conservation. These kinds of topics resonate with the community.
- Our projects may invite middle schoolers and high schoolers with art 
experience to contribute for volunteer hours.
GUIDELINES & TIMELINES
- Utility boxes - Most likely will take place during spring break or another long weekend. 
- Murals will take place in the summer.
