Student Leadership Training Presentations: What We Learned

(Online Cover of The Student Leadership Challenge)

After being encouraged to read The Student Leadership Challenge by James Kouzes and Barry Posner, high school students under CP Mentorship’s Public Art team created slides presentations showcasing what they’ve learned and how to act on that newfound knowledge.

Not only were the slides informative, the process of creating the slides in groups helped to foster a communicative and productive atmosphere within the team—encouraging a sense of camaraderie. Each group centered their slides on one chapter (or commitment) from the book. The presentations today were able to educate other groups within the team on examples of real-world student leadership in other areas of strength, whether it be concepts like encouraging initiative or building charisma.
