Supporting A Date of a Lifetime Through Art
Our organization is proud to collaborate with Xigu Drama Valley as they prepare to premiere their new theatrical work, A Date of a Lifetime. To support this production, our team has created an assortment of original artwork exclusively for the show. These artworks have been transformed into limited-edition bags that will be sold at both performance times. All proceeds will be donated directly to the filmmakers and production team behind the project.
This partnership reflects our shared commitment to fostering independent art and elevating creative storytelling in the Bay Area.
Here are some samples of the art our team has made for this event:
Xigu Drama Valley first captivated local audiences in 2024 with Necktie vs. High Heels, a dark humor comedy that combined inventive staging with sharp cultural insight. Its two rounds of performances—six shows in total—sold out quickly and established Xigu as a rising force in contemporary theater.
In 2025, the company returns with A Date of a Lifetime, created in collaboration with industry professionals from the Communication University of China, Beijing Film Academy, Central Academy of Drama, and Shanghai Theatre Academy, as well as Bay Area technologists and artists. This new work blends original music, stage design, and lighting to craft a production uniquely curated for local audiences.
The play follows a story spanning 15 years—an exploration of hidden love, loss, and the enduring meaning of devotion. It asks timeless questions: What is love, and what does it truly require of us?
We look forward to standing with Xigu Drama Valley as they bring this story to life. Join us at the premiere and experience an evening of heartfelt artistry.
