Youth Committee Meeting #6 Recap
Last week’s Youth Committee meeting was one of those sessions where you could really see things coming to life.
It started with a quick reminder of the mission. Turning ideas into real action through mentorship and leadership . And honestly, every update that followed reflected that.
What’s in Motion
The AI team is working on predicting wildfires using machine learning. They already have a working model and are now improving it to make predictions more accurate .
Another group is exploring youth employment, using tools to analyze data and pull out meaningful insights, even with limited information to work with.
The robotics team is focused on hands-on projects, running workshops and preparing for a summer camp where students will actually build and experiment with robots .
Creative and Community Work
The Public Art team is planning murals across different locations, including a collaboration with students in Uganda. It’s a mix of creativity and global teamwork .
They’re also hosting an upcoming event with activities like jewelry making and 3D printing to bring more people in.
The History and Culture group shared updates on performances, fundraising, and a book project that’s close to being published .
Small Actions, Bigger Impact
The Sustainability team is making practical changes, like using reusable materials at events to reduce waste, and working on better ways to track and improve it over time .
The Takeaway
Everything is already moving.
Different teams, different ideas, but all building something real.
