Sharing Our Vision: Clean Energy in Art at the Milpitas Library

June 22, 2025
Milpitas, CA

Yesterday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, we hosted a public outreach event outside the Milpitas Library as part of our SVCE-sponsored project Clean Energy in Art — an initiative combining creativity and climate awareness through youth-led community events.

The goal? To connect with local residents, raise awareness about our upcoming art exhibits and workshops, and spark conversations about the role creativity can play in inspiring change.

We set up both outside and inside the library, talking with people of all ages, explaining the idea behind our project: using art as a medium to explain clean energy and sustainability. It was a relaxed afternoon, but also incredibly meaningful. Whether people were interested in contributing artwork, attending future events, or just learning what we were all about, every interaction helped grow our momentum.

About the Project

Clean Energy in Art is a student-led initiative supported by Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE), doing outreach so that more people know about the existence of SVCE and the importance of clean energy. Through exhibits, installations, art competitions, and more, we’re working to tell people more about clean energy in a fun and interactive way.

What’s Next?

Today’s event is just one of many. We’ve got more community outreach, art showcases, and hands-on workshops coming soon — so keep an eye out! Whether you're an artist, a student, or someone curious about how creativity and sustainability intersect, there’s a place for you in this project.

Stay tuned and follow along as we continue using art to reimagine a cleaner, brighter future.
