Robotic Outreach Committee Meeting: Robotics Hackathon

On August 3, 2025, the members of the Robotics Outreach Committee dropped by Catherine’s house. The goal of this meeting was to know each other better, as well as to plan for the robotics hackathon on the 18th of October.

Catherine and Geraldine started off the meeting with a quick ice breaker game of 2 truths and 1 lie. We all learned interesting new things about each other.

After this, the meeting officially started. Various topics regarding the hackathon were discussed. It was decided that the hackathon would be held outdoors at the Eucalyptus Picnic Area in Coyote Point Recreation Area. The projects for the attendees are still being considered. However, the agenda and the workshops in the morning have been decided. These would include things like CAD (Computer-aided Design), Hardware, and Software.

The meeting wrapped up with a quick presentation to Catherine and Geraldine about what we had done over the past few hours.
