Councilmember David Cohen Visits CompassPoint Mentorship Summer Camp

We were honored to welcome Councilmember David Cohen of San José District 4 to CompassPoint Mentorship Summer Camp. His visit gave campers the opportunity to share what they have been learning and demonstrate the creative projects they have been working on throughout the week.

During the visit, Councilmember Cohen explored several of our hands-on programs, including 3D Printing, Remote Control Aviation, and Archery. He spoke with campers about their projects, asked thoughtful questions, and showed genuine interest in how these activities encourage creativity, problem-solving, and confidence.

Seeing community leaders take the time to connect with our students reminds campers that their ideas and hard work matter. Visits like these inspire young learners to keep exploring new skills and pursuing their interests.

We sincerely thank Councilmember David Cohen for spending time with our campers and supporting youth education in our community. We appreciate his encouragement and look forward to continuing to provide meaningful learning experiences that help students grow both in and out of the classroom.
