🌊 Drone-a-thon: Water Exploration with Drones
Join us for our very first Drone-a-thon, a full-day event dedicated to learning, flying, and innovating with drones under the theme of water exploration. This exciting day brings together students, hobbyists, and community members to not only enjoy the thrill of flying drones but also to think critically about how drone technology can make a positive social impact.
Throughout the day, participants will:
Learn the basics of drone flight through guided workshops.
Experience FPV (First-Person View) drones and gain hands-on skills in managing these high-speed, immersive aircraft.
Work in teams to brainstorm and prepare short presentations on how drones can be used for water sustainability, flood prevention, disaster relief, and other real-world social challenges.
Compete in a friendly drone challenge, where creativity, skill, and teamwork will shine.
Engage with experts, including our keynote speaker and judging panel, who will share their insights into drone technology and its future.
We provide all the drones and equipment — no prior experience is required. Whether you’re flying for the first time or leveling up your FPV skills, Drone-a-thon is about fun, exploration, and impact. By the end of the day, you’ll not only know how to fly a drone, but also understand how this technology can be applied to address some of our most pressing water-related challenges.
