Datathon 2026 is a fun, hands-on data challenge where students come together to learn, collaborate, and use data to tackle real-world problems. Hosted by CP Mentorship in partnership with Women in Data Science Worldwide and Silicon Valley Youth, this event is open to learners of all experience levels—curious beginners and aspiring data scientists alike.
Participants will work in teams to explore how data can help forecast wildfire impacts on infrastructure, design equitable solutions that support safe and timely evacuations, and understand economic resilience during wildfire disruptions. With guidance from mentors, students will gain practical experience, build confidence, and discover how data science can create meaningful change.
Expect an inspiring day filled with teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity—all in a supportive and inclusive environment. If you’re interested in data, technology, or making a positive impact in your community, this is the perfect place to start!
