Join us for a special Book Launch Meet & Greet celebrating the publication of One Way Mission: The Doolittle Raid and the Chinese Rescue, a book researched and written by high school students that tells the remarkable story of the Doolittle Raid and the courageous Chinese civilians who risked their lives to rescue American airmen during World War II.
Throughout the day, visitors are invited to stop by our book display, located across from the Museum Gift Shop next to the World War II TBM Avenger aircraft, where student authors will be on hand to meet guests, sign books, and share the inspiration and research behind their work.
This event offers a unique opportunity to meet the next generation of historians, learn about one of World War II's most extraordinary rescue stories, and celebrate the completion of a project that helps preserve this important chapter of history for future generations.
Copies of One Way Mission: The Doolittle Raid and the Chinese Rescue will be available for purchase and signing throughout the event.
The Meet & Greet is included with regular museum admission. Parking is free. We invite you to spend the day exploring the USS Hornet Museum while celebrating the launch of this inspiring new book.
