Youth Leadership Training 2026 at Google Visitor Experience
On May 24, 2026, youth leaders, mentors, and volunteers gathered at The Huddle – Google Visitor Experience for the CompassPoint Mentorship Youth Leadership Training 2026. The full-day event focused on preparing student leaders for the upcoming summer camp season through hands-on learning, teamwork activities, and leadership development.
The training introduced participants to the mission and culture of the organization, emphasizing confidence, communication, mentorship, and creating meaningful experiences for campers. Throughout the day, students learned what it means to be a supportive and positive leader while helping build an inclusive and encouraging camp environment.
Attendees also explored the different tools and systems used during camp operations, including communication platforms, carpool coordination, and the camper check-in app. Live demonstrations gave students practical experience using QR-code check-ins, managing camper information, and understanding safety procedures used across camp sites.
One of the highlights of the event was the role-play training sessions, where participants practiced real camp scenarios such as greeting families during drop-off, confirming pickup information, responding to camper needs, and handling parent questions professionally. These exercises helped students gain confidence while preparing for real-world leadership responsibilities.
The day concluded with interactive outdoor activities, technology demonstrations including drones and RC submarines, and a group photo to celebrate the beginning of the 2026 summer camp season. The event reflected CompassPoint Mentorship’s commitment to empowering young leaders through mentorship, collaboration, and hands-on learning experiences.
