Thank You City of San José for Supporting our Summer Camp

We extend our sincere gratitude to the City of San José Parks, Recreation, and Neighborhood Services Department for their generous support through the Safe Summer Initiative Grant.

Their grant makes it possible for us to provide full scholarship summer camp experiences for at-risk, high-risk, and gang-impacted youth—ensuring that every young person we serve has access to safe, structured, and enriching opportunities during the summer months.

Because of this support, our scholars are able to participate in a wide range of engaging and hands-on summer camps that spark curiosity, build confidence, and encourage positive growth.

From outdoor adventures like our Redwood Adventure 5-Day Overnight Camp at Portola and Archery Summer Camp, to innovative STEM programs such as Solar Electric Circuit, Robot Dog & Coding, Remote Control Airplane, Aviation Summer Camp, and LEGO Robotics, youth are given the chance to explore new interests and develop valuable skills.

Creative programs like Fashion & Jewelry and community-based projects like Mural @ Parks further allow participants to express themselves, build connections, and take pride in their communities, while activities like Fencing introduce discipline, focus, and resilience.

These experiences go far beyond summer enrichment—they provide safe spaces where youth can stay active, form meaningful relationships, and engage in positive activities that support their long-term success.

We are deeply thankful for this partnership and for the shared commitment to empowering young people, strengthening communities, and creating brighter futures.
