Survey results for Ed Levin Park Mural

CP mentorship youth members surveying visitors of Ed Levin Park.

At the end of the survey taking on May 4th, there was a total of 89 responses. 30% of the responses were taken in person while the other 70% was taken online. 41.6% of the responses made were by people who visited Ed Levin only a few times during the year. 43% of people who answered the survey said that their favorite part of the park was fishing.

When we asked what would make the park more inviting or enjoyable, most of the answers consisted of:

  • More shade (specifically by the lake)

  • Free Parking

  • A cell tower/better signal

  • More benches

  • More features for kits (eg. playground)

  • More cleanliness or clean ups

  • Community/ neighborhood events

When we asked what the general color theme or general style/vibe of the park, most people answered:

  • Green (nature), blue (sky and water), and yellow (sunshine and warmth)

  • Natural, earthy, colorful style

  • Common keywords: Wild life, flowers, and greenery

When we asked about what kind of art style they would prefer for the mural, 51.7% answered with realistic.

Choices of art styles provided:

  • Cartoon: Depicting plants, animals, ad landscape in fun, colorful, and whimsical style

  • Realistic: Depicting lifelike images of platns, animals, and landscape

  • Abstract: Using shapes, patterns, and colors to visually strike viewers
