Celebrating a Season of Growth — CP Mentorship’s 2025 Summer Recognition Night
On the evening of October 19, 2025, the South Bay Yacht Club in Alviso came alive with laughter, stories, and heartfelt gratitude. As the sun set over the marina, students, mentors, and community members gathered to celebrate the achievements of the incredible youth who took part in CP Mentorship’s Summer Program 2025.
This wasn’t just an end-of-season gathering—it was a moment to honor the spirit of mentorship, growth, and collaboration that defined the summer.
A Warm Welcome and Inspiring Reflections
The event opened with welcoming remarks and a lively Youth Summer Report, highlighting the projects, challenges, and milestones that the students achieved throughout the program.
Several students took the stage to share their reflections-stories of teamwork, discovery, and personal growth. From learning to lead group projects to stepping outside their comfort zones, each reflection reminded everyone why mentorship matters. Their confidence and gratitude shone brightly, earning warm applause from the audience.
Certificates of Recognition by Councilmember David Cohen
A highlight of the evening was the Certificate Ceremony, where Councilmember David Cohen personally presented certificates to the high school students who made exceptional contributions to the CP Mentorship program.
With each name called, the students stepped forward with pride and excitement. Councilmember Cohen congratulated them not only on their accomplishments but also on their commitment to giving back to the community-a message that deeply resonated with the audience.
A Night of Connection and Celebration
The evening was filled with genuine connection. Over a delicious dinner prepared by CP Mentorship, students and mentors exchanged stories, laughter, and future aspirations. Conversations flowed easily, creating an atmosphere of warmth and belonging.
As one student put it, “It felt like a family dinner—everyone cheering for each other’s success.”
The night concluded with a group photo, capturing not just smiling faces, but a shared sense of accomplishment and hope for the future.
Looking Ahead
The 2025 Summer Program may have come to an end, but the relationships, lessons, and memories built through CP Mentorship will continue to grow. For many of the students, this experience marked the beginning of a new chapter—one defined by curiosity, courage, and community.
As the event wrapped up and the lights dimmed over the bay, one thing was clear:
CP Mentorship is not just about guiding students—it’s about helping them discover the best version of themselves.
